You probably read the story here, or elsewhere, about the woman who ran across the field in a bikini at a Rugby match in New Zealand a couple of weeks ago, and ended up having to put her swimsuit up for auction to pay her legal costs.

Regular readers know we just love stories about dimwitted criminals, and this is one of my favorites. This guy has been arrested for trying to fleece a money exchanger, by using an ID card bearing somebody else's photo.  Oh yeah -- did I mention that the guy, who is Jordanian, used a picture of Brad Pitt?

When he was caught, the man told police that he did not know whose picture he had downloaded from the Internet. Imagine his surprise when he sees "Fight Club" on movie night in prison. Here's the story:

The Federal Reserve raised U.S. interest rates for a 17th straight time on Thursday and said more rises may be needed to curb inflation. The financial markets have already almost fully priced in another interest rate hike in August.

Do you ever wake up in the morning with some puzzling itch or minor pain that wasn't there when you went to bed?  That happened last weekend to a prison inmate in Pakistan, who awoke with, how to put this delicately, an entire lightbulb in his anus.  Imagine his surprise.

Doctors removed the bulb in a 90-minute operation yesterday.  They said getting it out intact was far preferable to the alternative. Meanwhile, the prisoner's story is that he has no idea how the thing got there in the first place. Read all about it:

Prepare youself for a shock.  I mean it.  Turns out, getting tattoos from unlicensed places isn't quite as healthy as we all assumed it was. Federal health officials have three words for us: "flesh-eating disease."

Six recent outbreaks of infections with the superbug MRSA. have been traced to unlicensed tattoo artists.  This infection can cause a variety of awful illnesses, in some cases even the flesh-eating disease. Hey, nice tattoo, Johnny! What happened to the rest of your arm?  Here's the story:
